There's little doubt that industry tech titan Moti Gindi likes a challenge. The former Corporate Vice President of Security Products at Microsoft, Gindi has recently left the comfort of working at a blue chip for the exciting world of startups.

In February 2023 he joined Apiiro, a new Israeli-based company that helps security and development teams proactively fix risks throughout the software supply chain before releasing to the cloud. Apiiro's novel approach has already resulted in strong numbers, with 2022 being a banner year for the young company. Last year, it achieved over 550% ARR growth, doubled its team, and closed a momentous $100 million in Series B funding.

As a seasoned and highly sought-after security executive, Gindi's recent addition to Apiiro makes for exciting news, especially for investors. In his role as Chief Product Officer, Gindi is in charge of leading product strategy, product management, and security research practices – with the ultimate aim of enhancing the efficiency and scalability of the Apiiro platform.

With more than 20 years of experience, he brings a wealth of history scaling teams with impressive speed. During the past eight years at Microsoft, he served in leadership positions, notably establishing and leading Microsoft endpoint security (Defender) from an internal incubation to a multi-billion-dollar business that scaled to protect tens of thousands of customers, thusly earning industry recognition as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Endpoint Protection Platforms. More recently, in 2022, as the Chief Strategy Officer for Microsoft Security, he reported to Executive Vice President of Security Charlie Bell and was responsible for the strategy of the company's cyber products, which generated $20 billion.

Earlier in 2023, Gindi was unequivocal about his excitement concerning his new company. “I have been following Apiiro’s journey since its inception and am convinced by its unique approach for building a holistic modern cloud application security platform. I believe it is well positioned to revolutionize the application security market and become an industry leader. I am excited to join this talented team and eager to help drive it into the next phase of growth.”

In 1999, Gindi graduated summa cum laude from Tel-Aviv University with a Bachelor of Science in computer science and linguistics. That same year he was also the recipient of the Israel Parliament (“Knesset”) award for outstanding students.
