In February 2023 Veeam welcomed finance veteran Dustin Driggs to its C-suite, bolstering an executive team that has already made numerous signficant strides lately. The company, which is headquartered in Baar, Switzerland and Columbus, Ohio, provides organizations with modern data protection through data security, data recovery, and data freedom for their hybrid cloud. Since being launched, Veeam has seen explosive growth, with more than 5,000 employees, 450,000 customers – and well over $1 billion in ARR.

As the company's new Chief Financial Officer, Driggs is tasked with leading Veeam’s global financial function. This includes being responsible for strategy and reporting, as the company continues to gain market share and industry recognition for its ability to mitigate the negative effects of ransomware, natural disasters, human error, outages, or a cyber-attack.

Overall, Driggs has more than three decades' worth of experience in successfully building and managing large multinational businesses. Before Veeam, he spent over 16 years at Barracuda Networks, a multinational cybersecurity company specializing in email and web security. After joining Barracuda as the Director of Financial Planning Analysis, he eventually worked his way up to CFO, a position he held for more than six years.

Driggs also spent a large chunk of his career at Cisco. He first joined the company in 1996 as a financial analyst and went on to hold assignments of increasing responsibility, including Controller of Wireless Networking, Controller of Network Management Tech Group, and Controller of Greenfield Networks.

Prior to his 10+ year tenure at Cisco, he also held leadership positions at Stratacom and PwC. In terms of education, he received an MBA from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Loyola Marymount University, where he was a member of the lightweight crew team.

Speaking to Driggs' recent hiring, Anand Eswaran, Veeam Chief Executive Officer, said, "In a digital world, our value proposition of proactively protecting data across every type of environment and helping companies rapidly recover from unexpected events is incredibly critical to every organization. Dustin is a valuable addition to our strong leadership team at Veeam, and I’m confident his expertise and experience will make a great impact here.”
