Charles Meyers is the current CEO of Equinix, one of the world's largest digital infrastructure companies that is worth around $65 billion. Meyers has been with the company since 2010. He first came on board to serve as President of the Americas, the company's largest operating region. Based on his success in this role, he went on to spend several years as Equinix's COO and later President of Strategy, Services, and Innovation, where he led the company's technology, strategy, and business development teams.

This work culminated in 2018 with the announcement that Meyers was being bumped up to the top of the pecking order as CEO and President. After taking Equinix’s helm, he wasted no time in distinguishing himself, notably realizing 65% equity appreciation in his first full year as CEO.

In 2019, he continued to drive growth for his company by raising more than $2 billion in equity, including a $1 billion joint venture with Singapore's sovereign wealth fund, GIC, to drive Hyperscale Data Center investments in the EMEA region. Other impressive milestones for Meyers at Equinix include doubling the number of global IBX data centers, evolving the capabilities of Platform Equinix, building ecosystems with thousands of the world’s leading businesses as customers, and quadrupling revenues during his tenure as CEO.

When Meyers joined Equinix, he already had more than 25 years of experience in executive leadership positions at leading technology and IT companies, including Verisign, BellSouth, and Level 3 Communications. During his tenure at Level 3, he played a key role in helping the company emerge as a premier global provider of Internet and VoIP services. He also previously served as vice president and general manager for Internet Security Systems, where he was part of the company’s successful IPO.

Meyers earned dual master’s degrees from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and McCormick Graduate School of Engineering. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Colorado. In addition to his Equinix duties, he is the Founder and Managing Director of "Leave the 99" foundation, a family DAF aimed at mission and service work serving youth across the globe.
