Many of our awardees contribute to the economic growth of not only San Francisco but California and the U.S., helming C-level positions at globally-recognized companies such as Apple, Gap, Ghirardelli, NVIDIA, Nextdoor, DoorDash, and WinWire.

Among this year's awardees is Siobhan Feeney, Chief Technology Officer of Kohl's, who accelerated the company’s product-centric software development journey to fuel business growth. Awardee Darlene Solomon, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at Agilent has received multiple accolades for her accomplishments, including being inducted into the Women in Technology International's Hall of Fame. Also awarded is Greg Lull, Chief Marketing Officer at Credit Karma. His role in building operations for member engagement and brand awareness contributed to the company adding 70 million members in the last five years.

1. Luca Maestri
CFO, Apple

Luca Maestri is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Apple. As CFO, Maestri oversees Apple's accounting, business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, real estate, investor relations, internal audit, and tax functions. He joined Apple in 2013 as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller and has worked closely with Apple’s senior leadership since his arrival. Maestri has over 25 years of experience building and leading finance teams in global companies with significant operating scale and complexity.

Prior to joining Apple, he was the CFO of Xerox and previously at Nokia Siemens Networks. He began his career with General Motors and spent 20 years in finance and operating roles in the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe. While at GM, Maestri was part of the team that established GM’s regional Asia Pacific operations, including manufacturing investments in China and Thailand. He later became CFO for all of GM’s operations in Europe, which spanned over 45 countries with annual net revenue of approximately $40 billion. Maestri graduated from Boston University with a Master of Science in Management and Luiss University in Rome with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

 

2. Andrew Caspersen
Chief Information Security Officer, Gap

Andrew Caspersen is the Chief Information Security Officer of Gap Inc. He joined Gap Inc. in 2019 and brings over two decades of experience spanning security leadership positions at major financial institutions and advising Fortune 500 companies on cybersecurity matters.

Previously, Casperson was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, Managing Director at Wickr, and Director at PwC. Before this, he was the Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Privacy Officer at Charles Schwab, and Application Security Specialist at divineInterventures. Caspersen graduated from the University of Notre Dame with an undergraduate degree in management information systems and services.

 

3. Siobhan Feeney
Chief Technology Officer, Kohl's

Siobhan Feeney is the Chief Technology Officer of Kohl's. She is responsible for all technology, information, and digital platforms supporting Kohl’s omnichannel business. Feeney joined Kohl’s in 2020 as Senior Vice President of Technology and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Technology in 2022. Since joining Kohl’s, Feeney has championed and accelerated the company’s product-centric software development journey to better serve Kohl’s customers and fuel business growth.

Prior to Kohl’s, Feeney was a digital transformation executive at GitHub. Before that, she led innovation and strategy at Pivotal Software, Inc., where she focused on enabling large clients to develop new ways of working. She also spent a decade at AAA Northern California in various leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Interim Chief Executive Officer. She began her career as an Accountant at Deloitte and KPMG Ireland. Feeney earned a master’s degree in finance and a bachelor’s degree in business studies in economics and law.

 

4. Alan Boehme
Chief Technology Officer, H&M Group

Alan Boehme is the Chief Technology Officer of the H&M Group. Boehme co-leads the company’s new organization Business Tech. The organization is designed to strengthen the ability to innovate and develop the business, ensuring an improved and smoother shopping experience for customers worldwide. Boehme has extensive international and domestic experience in executive leadership and consultant roles. He’s also a recognized authority and frequent speaker on the strategic application of information technology to drive revenue growth and service quality and improve production and cost controls. Boehme is a Founding Board Member of CSA (Cloud Security Alliance).

He was previously the SVP and Chief Technology Innovation Officer at Procter & Gamble. Before that, he was at Coca-Cola as Chief Information and Innovation Officer (Global IT) and Chief Enterprise Architect. He's also held various positions at ING, Juniper Networks, Sage Software, GE Power Systems, DHL, and Tri-Star Consulting. Boehme graduated from California State University with a bachelor's degree.

 

5. Gordon Lee
Chief Accounting Officer, DoorDash

Gordon Lee is the Chief Accounting Officer of DoorDash. He joined the company in 2019. Previously, Lee was at Glu Mobile, where he served as Vice President of Accounting. Before this, he spent over six years at Twitter as a Corporate Controller and Director of Technical Accounting. Earlier in his career, he spent over nine years as a Senior Manager at PwC and as an Associate at Arthur Andersen, LLP. Lee graduated from Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business.

 

6. Sree Sreedhararaj
Chief Technology Officer, Sephora

Sree Sreedhararaj is the Chief Technology Officer of Sephora. In this role, he oversees the company’s technology strategy and road mapping while leading several aspects, such as the architecture, product, and user experience. He first joined the company in 2017 as Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture and Application. Since joining the French beauty retailer, he has delivered outstanding ROI via disruptive initiatives, including a significant partnership with Instagram and Instacart and introducing Klarna as an innovative payment method.

Previously, Sreedhararaj was a Senior Manager of Engineering at Walmart Labs. Before that, he was a Senior Solutions Architect and Senior Consultant at Infosys. Sreedhararaj earned an undergraduate degree in computer science from Mahatma Gandhi University.

 

7. Colette Kress
EVP and CFO, NVIDIA

Colette Kress is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NVIDIA. She joined the company in 2013. Kress previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Cisco’s Business Technology and Operations Finance organization. She was responsible for financial strategy, planning, reporting, and business development for all business segments, engineering, and operations. Before this, she spent 13 years at Microsoft, including four years as Chief Financial Officer of the server and tools division, and held senior roles in corporate planning and finance. Prior to that, she served at Texas Instruments in various finance positions. Kress has an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Arizona.

 

8. Douglas Sabo
Chief Sustainability Officer, Visa

Douglas Sabo is the Chief Sustainability Officer at Visa. He oversees the company’s global corporate sustainability, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy, reporting, and communications. He co-chairs the company's cross-function Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Leadership Council, leads the environmental sustainability and human rights initiatives, and oversees the sustainability reporting process. He also represents Visa in other organizations, such as the Corporate Eco Forum and Business for Social Responsibility. He is a frequent speaker on various corporate responsibility, sustainability, and ESG topics on behalf of the company. Sabo currently serves as a member of Sustainable Brands / Brands for Good advisory boards, CECP's Strategic Investor Initiative, and the Centre for Sport and Human Rights.

Before joining Visa in 2008, he was the Director of Worldwide Corporate Responsibility at McAfee, Vice President of Information Security Policy & Programs at the Information Technology Association of America, and a Consultant at American Management Systems (AMS). Sabo graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in government.

 

9. Sheri Rhodes
Chief Customer Officer, Workday

Sheri Rhodes is the Chief Customer Officer at Workday. She oversees the company’s customer experience organization, which includes professional services, education services, customer success, and Workday support. In this role, she leads the teams responsible for empowering all customers to reach their full potential with Workday through an unmatched end-to-end customer experience. Rhodes joined Workday in 2019 as Chief Information Officer, where she oversaw the company’s global information technology organization and held responsibility for the internal deployment of Workday products.

Before joining Workday, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Western Union. She was responsible for product engineering, security, and corporate technology. Before Western Union, she was the CIO at Electronics for Imaging. She has held various leadership roles at Symantec, Visa, Washington Mutual, and KPMG. Rhodes has served on the board of directors for FormFactor, Inc. since 2019. Rhodes has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in business from San Diego State University.

 

10. John Storey
President of Finance & Operations, Asurion

John Storey is the President of Finance and Operations at Asurion. He’s responsible for all aspects of Asurion’s financial management and customer-facing operations. He was previously Asurion’s CFO and, before that, SVP of corporate development and strategy. In these prior roles, he was responsible for multiple areas of value creation, including capital markets strategy and execution, strategic transaction identification and execution, and leadership of the company’s growth strategy.

Before Asurion, Storey worked as a Research Analyst for Fort Point CapitalFort, a public equities hedge fund. Prior to this, he was the Vice President of ThinkEquity, a Senior Associate at Pacific Crest SecuritiesPacific, and an Investment Banker with Robertson Stephens and Alex, Brown & Sons. Storey earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in commerce and mathematics from the University of Virginia.

 

11. Darlene Solomon
Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President, Agilent

Darlene Solomon is the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President at Agilent Technologies. Her responsibilities include overseeing Agilent Research Laboratories, which focuses on high-impact, long-range research in support of Agilent's sustained business growth. In her leadership role, she works closely with Agilent's businesses to define the company's technology strategy and R&D priorities.

Before Agilent, Solomon was at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories. She joined HP in 1984 as a Research Scientist and soon moved into leadership as the Research & Development Manager of their Chemical and Biological Systems Department. When Agilent Technologies was spun off from HP in 1999, she became responsible for Research and Development/Technology for Agilent's Life Sciences and Chemical Analysis business. She was promoted to Vice President and Director of Agilent Laboratories in 2003 and has been Agilent Technologies' Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President since 2006. Solomon has a doctorate in bioinorganic chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Stanford University.

 

12. Rick Sklarin
Chief Revenue Officer Practice Lead, Global Technology Markets and Senior Client Partner, Korn Ferry

Rick Sklarin is the Chief Revenue Officer Practice Lead, Global Technology Markets, and Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry. Sklarin specializes in placing sales officers and sales executives in software and services leadership roles. He is a leader in Korn Ferry's Sales Officers Practice and a renowned thought leader in the evolution of enterprise sales leadership roles. Sklarin started his career as an Executive Search Leader at Korn Ferry. He rejoined the firm after four years at another leading executive search firm.

Earlier in his career, Sklarin was a Pre-IPO Partner at Accenture, working in the communications, media, and technology strategy practice. He focused his consulting career on helping technology companies build all go-to-market business capabilities. Sklarin earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and an AB in economics from Stanford University.

 

13. Kelly McGinnis
SVP & Chief Communications Officer, Levi Strauss

Kelly McGinnis is Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Levi Strauss. She is responsible for shaping the company’s corporate affairs strategy and managing stakeholder relations. She oversees a global team that includes media relations, internal communications, government affairs, consumer relations, community relations, and the Levi Strauss archives. She’s also a member of the company’s worldwide leadership team, which determines the company's global direction.

McGinnis is a seasoned communications leader with more than 20 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has led teams both in-house and at agencies on a variety of accounts in the consumer goods, apparel, technology, and financial industries. Before joining Levi Strauss, McGinnis served as Dell's Global Communications Vice President. Before Dell, she held leadership positions at agencies, including AxiCom U.S., which is part of Y&R Brands, Fleishman-Hillard, and Shandwick International. McGinnis has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University.

 

14. Robert Hawthorne
Chief Information Officer, Lam Research

Rob Hawthorne is the Chief Information Officer at Lam Research. He’s responsible for the company’s IT strategy, service delivery, and strategic technology partnerships. He also leads the company’s Global Information Services (GIS) function, innovation, and business partners.

Prior to joining Lam, Hawthorne spent more than 18 years at Jabil, Inc. He served in various IT leadership roles, most recently as Chief Information Officer of the company’s electronic manufacturing services division. Before this, he was the Manager of IT at Advanced Refractory Technologies, the Application Development Manager at IIMAK, and an Account Executive at Tandy Corporation. Hawthorne earned his MBA in corporate finance and marketing and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University at Buffalo.

 

15. Sarah Friar
Chief Executive Officer, Nextdoor

Sarah Friar is Nextdoor’s Chief Executive Officer. Nextdoor’s revenue has more than doubled since Friar took over as CEO. Friar, who hails from Northern Ireland, was named CEO of a neighborhood-focused social network in late 2018. Today sits on the boards of directors of Walmart, Slack, and ConsenSys, as well as the advisory boards of HOPE Global and Blavatnik School of Government.

Before joining Nextdoor, Friar served as CFO at Square. Under Friar's leadership, Square launched its initial public offering in 2015 and added $30B in market cap. Before her tenure at Square, Friar served as SVP of Finance & Strategy at Salesforce. Friar also held executive roles at Goldman Sachs and leadership positions at McKinsey in both London and South Africa. She is the co-founder of Ladies Who Launch, a nonprofit that celebrates and empowers women entrepreneurs. Friar earned her MEng in Metallurgy, Economics, and Management from the University of Oxford and her MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where she graduated as an Arjay Miller scholar. She holds an honorary doctorate from Ulster University and, in 2019, was granted an OBE from Queen Elizabeth II for services to entrepreneurship.

 

16. Joel Burrows
President and CEO, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company

Joel Burrows is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. He’s responsible for Ghirardelli's day-to-day operations as well as the company’s overall strategy, direction, and purpose. Burrows joined Ghirardelli in 2017.

Prior to coming to Ghirardelli, Burrows was the CEO at Lindt UK & Ireland, Ghirardelli's sister company. He began his Lindt career as UK Sales Director in 2007. Burrows has been responsible for continuously growing market share and brand equity while also focusing on the people who are critical to the success of the brand. He has a master's degree in economics from The University of Edinburgh.

 

17. Patrick Hogan
Chief Client Officer, Black & Veatch

Patrick Hogan is the Chief Client Officer of Black & Veatch. In this role, Hogan leads the design and execution of the company’s sales strategy, teaming with professionals across Black & Veatch to align the company’s integrated solutions and services with clients’ needs.

He previously served as Chief Commercial Officer for Honeywell at both the enterprise and business unit levels. In this role, he focused on clients with business needs that intersected many areas of critical infrastructure. A 20-year veteran of Honeywell, Hogan is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in building sales communities, cultivating client relationships, and taking cutting-edge solutions to market to address the changing needs of government, utility, commercial, and industrial clients. Before Honeywell, he served in multiple leadership roles for British Gas (now Royal Dutch Shell) and Cedar Consulting. He has broad experience in energy, environmental safety, IT consulting, and global sales and marketing operations. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Bristol and a Ph.D. in medicinal chemistry from the University of Cambridge. He later completed the Strategy and Management Program at The Wharton School in the U.S.

 

18. Greg Lull
Chief Marketing Officer, Credit Karma

Greg Lull is the Chief Marketing Officer at Credit Karma. He oversees Credit Karma’s marketing department, ensuring that the marketing, communications, consumer analytics, and brand teams create meaningful experiences that reflect the company’s value to current and future Credit Karma members. Credit Karma has added 70 million members in the last five years, with Lull playing a pivotal role in this by building several operations for brand awareness and member engagement. He was previously VP of Marketing Operations at Multilytics Marketing.

Before Credit Karma, he was the VP of Marketing Operations at Multilytics Marketing and spent time as the Embedded and Software Systems Engineer at Spectrum Technologies. Lull graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a master's degree in electrical engineering and Griffith University with a degree in computer engineering.

 

19. James Reinhart
Chief Executive Officer, thredUP

James Reinhart is the Chief Executive Officer at thredUP. Reinhart co-founded thredUP, the world's largest online marketplace for secondhand clothing. He has served as the company’s CEO and as a member of its Board of Directors since 2009.

Prior to founding thredUP, Reinhart helped develop the Pacific Collegiate School. He also co-founded Beacon Education Network, a charter management organization serving low-income students on California’s Central Coast. Reinhart has a Master of Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Boston College.

 

20. Greg Gibbons
Vice President and Chief Information Officer, See's Candies

Greg Gibbons is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of See's Candies. Gibbons directs the entire company’s IT and cyber security functions. Gibbons has been with See's Candies since 1994. During his tenure, he developed as a C-level executive through the successful delivery of cybersecurity, eCommerce, retail, and food manufacturing ERP solutions.

Gibbons first got his start in 1986 as a Manager of Computer Operations at Blue Chip Stamps Inc. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California with an undergraduate degree in engineering technology.

 

21. Shanelle Reese
Chief People Officer, PresenceLearning

Shanelle Reese is the Chief People Officer of PresenceLearning. She first joined the company in 2017 as director of human resources. She has a wide spectrum of experience building and transforming HR practices in start-ups, nonprofits, and corporations.

Previously, Reese was a Human Resources Project Manager at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. Before that, she was the Director of HR operations at Amerit Fleet Solutions. Earlier in her career, she worked with California Anchor Resident as a Human Resources Business Partner. Reese earned a master’s degree in human resources management and services from Golden Gate University and an undergraduate degree in sociology from California State University.

 

22. Tyker Fagg
Chief Revenue Officer, Tanium

Tyker Fagg is the Chief Revenue Officer of Tanium. He is responsible for the performance, strategy, and overall alignment of Tanium’s revenue operations, including international sales, partner sales, strategic alliances, and customer success. As the company’s 22nd employee, Fagg has been instrumental in the company’s growth over the past eight years. He has a clear vision for achieving the next level of growth through alliances with strategic technology partners and Tanium’s partner community.

Fagg has over 25 years of helping companies solve their technology challenges in a time of rapid industry growth and evolution. He gained knowledge and experience with distinguished careers at Ingram Micro, Check Point, Cisco Systems, and McAfee, where he was hand-selected to take on new roles of increasing responsibility. His industry knowledge spans the entire Fortune 100 landscape and includes significant experience working with state and local education programs. Fagg is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of California.

 

23. Hatem Naguib
Chief Executive Officer, Barracuda

Hatem Naguib is the Chief Executive Officer of Barracuda. Naguib has deep technical and domain expertise in security and a strong customer and operational focus. Under his leadership, the team has successfully launched several offerings in Email, Network, Application Security, and integrated products. Naguib has been instrumental in the successful cloud transformation of Barracuda through his vision for Barracuda’s leading security solutions and by continually expanding its operational capabilities to meet the security challenges faced by businesses and institutions today. Naguib joined Barracuda in 2016.

He has more than 25 years of experience building and delivering innovative products in enterprise software, cloud services, data center virtualization, software-defined networking, and security. Naguib was previously at VMware for over nine years, most recently as Vice President of Networking and Security. Before this, he was the Director of Partner Engineering at Sun Microsystems. He’s also held various positions at CenterRun, Gemstar TV Guide, GE Capital, The Walt Disney Company, and Accenture. Naguib graduated from UC Irvine with a bachelor's degree in computer science.

 

24. Karen Jones
Chief Human Resources Officer, Paradigm

Karen Jones is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Paradigm. She spearheads Paradigm’s workforce strategy, operations, talent acquisition, employee development, and total rewards programs. She also oversees teams who develop new programs and tools to nurture and empower employees to do their best work in support of injured workers and their families. Jones is currently a Member of the Board of Directors for Kids' Chance of California. Paradigm has been a Kids' Chance sponsor for over 11 years.

Before joining Paradigm, Jones was an SVP and HR business partner at Experian, where she led workforce and culture transformation for the global IT services organization. Before that, she was the VP and Senior HR Business Partner at Hewlett-Packard-Enterprise Group. Earlier in her career, she worked with Radiant System as the Director of Human Resources. Jones graduated from the University of California, Davis, with an undergraduate degree in economics.

 

25. Vineet Arora
CTO, WinWire

Vineet Arora is the Chief Technology Officer of WinWire, a Microsoft Cloud Partner. He has over 24 years of experience in the IT Services Industry and is a Microsoft Azure-certified architect. Arora is responsible for technology consulting engagements focused mainly on the Microsoft platform. At WinWire, he manages the technical solutions team, envisioning new solutions and key customer engagement management. Arora also helps the Microsoft technical sales team as a part of the managed partner program.

Prior to joining WinWire, he worked in Microsoft Consulting Services for over seven years as a Consultant and a Senior Architect, where he focused on delivering solutions on Microsoft’s enterprise app servers. Arora graduated from Delhi University with a bachelor's degree in electronics.
