The Home Depot, the world's largest home improvement retailer, is in good hands with Fahim Siddiqui as a member of its executive team. In 2018, Siddiqui joined the company, bringing more than 30 years of experience in software development with some of the biggest players in the retail and telecom industries.
Siddiqui's success can be traced back to his early days as a top student. Following his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn an MBA from Brown University and a master’s in computer science from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where he was later honored with the Alumni Achievement Award.
Having completed his education, Siddiqui set off to build a career as a brilliant technologist and business leader. Over the years, he has served in technology, product, and engineering leadership roles at Vidyo, Intralinks, K2 Software, MCI, Time Warner Telecom, and Sprint.
His career milestones include founding Sereniti and later serving as chief product officer and executive vice president of Intralinks — one of the earliest SaaS companies — for nearly seven years. During this time, he successfully led the scaling and IPO, which resulted in a market valuation exceeding $1.5 billion. Before joining The Home Depot, he was SVP and CIO of Staples' eCommerce & digital business, where he led software teams responsible for the digital transformation of the entire enterprise.
Siddiqui's first position at The Home Depot was SVP of information technology, where he focused on the development of applications and solutions for online and various cutting-edge technologies. Then, in April 2022, it was announced that Siddiqui would be stepping up into the EVP and Chief Information Officer roles for the retail giant. As CIO, he is in charge of all aspects of the company's technology systems that help run more than 2,300 retail stores, supply chain facilities, store support centers, and online systems.
Siddiqui, who was born in Pakistan and holds 5 U.S. patents, is also known for his commitment to giving back to the community. When not attending to his CIO duties, he volunteers at Team Depot events and serves in leadership roles in organizations across Atlanta, Georgia. For instance, since 2019, he has been a member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra board of directors, and he is also an active member of their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) taskforce.
In 2020, for his contributions to DEI, the National Diversity Council recognized Siddiqui with its Technology Leadership Award. He also serves as a member of a leadership advisory group for the Carter Center’s board of councilors, which was founded by former President Jimmy Carter with the mission of “Waging Peace, Fighting Disease, and Building Hope” around the world. In honor of his many contributions as a business leader, in March 2021 Siddiqui was named to the Islamic Speaker Bureau’s “100 Influential Georgia Muslims” list and received a commendation from the Georgia State Senate.
