As economic uncertainty surges, this year’s awardees are heavily relied upon to provide advice and direction to the companies and industries they serve. They are intuitive, skilled communicators with the ability to listen and evaluate the myriad of considerations when making big complex decisions. Among this year’s awardees is Barry Friedman, Product Management Consultant for AireSpring, who uses his extensive experience to manage product portfolios ranging from $4M to over $1B; Michelle Hutchison, Senior Consultant of Organizational Change Management for Cardinal Health, who spent the past 15 years assisting large organizations through change initiatives aligned to specific cultures and audiences; and Anthony Hunt, Global Transformation Program Management Consultant with Dell, who uses his business transformation skills to energize organizations toward achieving results rapidly.

4. Michelle Hutchison

Hutchison earned a JD from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, an MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, and an undergraduate degree in economics from Miami University.

 

12. Christine King

Christine King is a Strategic Consultant for MassMutual. The Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, also known as MassMutual, is a Springfield, Massachusetts-based life insurance company. They provide financial products such as life insurance, disability income insurance, long term care insurance, retirement/401 plan services, and annuities. They are ranked as one of the largest United States corporations by total revenue. King has over 42 years in the financial services industry. She began her career in 1979.

King has a passion for vendor relationship management, technology communications, operations process improvement, strategic initiatives, and executive reporting/analysis. Before joining MassMutual, King was a senior manager of vendor management at Fidelity Investments and before that, a technical support manager at Oracle. Earlier in her career she worked with Boston College as a journalism instructor. King graduated from Boston College with an undergraduate degree in English.

 

15. Jeffrey Shontz
IT Project Management Consultant, Nationwide Insurance

Jeffrey Shontz is an IT Project Management Consultant with Nationwide Insurance. He first joined the company in 2004. Nationwide is a group of large U.S. insurance and financial services companies based in Columbus, Ohio. They currently have over 25,000 employees across the world. Nationwide is one of the largest insurance and financial services companies, focusing on domestic property and casualty insurance, life insurance and retirement savings, asset management, and strategic investments. Shontz is a successful project manager and analyst with a focus on organizational change, process, and infrastructure projects.

Shontz earned an MA in biology from William & Mary, an undergraduate degree in atmospheric science from The Ohio State University, and an undergraduate degree in botany from Ohio Wesleyan University.

 

25. William Moon

Moon earned a master’s degree in education from Stanford University, a master’s degree in divinity in biblical studies from Boston University School of Theology, and an undergraduate degree in English from Yale University.

 

26. Kevin Grothouse

Miami University

Kevin Grothouse is the Vice President and Treasury Management Consultant of Capital One. He first joined the company in 2017. Capital One is an American bank holding company specializing in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts, headquartered in McLean, Virginia. It is on the list of largest banks in the United States and has developed a reputation for being a technology-focused bank. The bank has 755 branches including 30 café style locations and 2,000 ATMs. Grothouse serves in the Government Banking Division and is focused on public fund and public higher education clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Previously, Grothouse was a VP and treasury management consultant at U.S. Bank. Earlier in his career he worked with Elavon, Inc. as an assistant VP and regional sales manager. Grothouse earned an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, and international business from Miami University.

 

31. Howard York

Earlier in his career he worked with Principal Financial Group as an associate manager. York graduated from Duke University with an MBA in finance, and from the University of Notre Dame with an undergraduate degree in government and business.

 

33. Sean Reynolds

Sean Reynolds is a Decision Science Product Consultant with The Walt Disney Company. The Walt Disney Company is a multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios complex in Burbank, California. Reynolds has over 19 years of experience. He began his career in 2003.

Before joining The Walt Disney Company, Reynolds was an operations research analyst and program management analyst at the Science Applications International Corporation and before that, an operations manager at the Florida Center for Reading Research. Earlier in his career he worked with the United States Air Force as an avionics systems team leader. Reynolds graduated from the University of Central Florida with an MS in industrial engineering, and from Florida State University with an undergraduate degree in psychology and business administration.

From there, he went on to PA Consulting Group, Inc., before eventually rising to become the director of business development at OptiRTC, Inc., his most recent position prior to joining Booz Allen Hamilton. Cervelloni graduated from The Johns Hopkins University with an MS in environmental planning and management, and from Loyola University Maryland with an undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, and marketing.

 

41. Kurt Duprey

Duprey previously served as the Security PMO leader, establishing a security PMO, reduced variance to budget by 17%, rescued a key security program while improving the effectiveness and efficiency of delivery. Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Duprey was a Client Delivery Executive for EDS where he led IT delivery for multiple agencies in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was also part of the senior leadership team that led a major corporate transformation, regionalizing delivery and utilizing lean practices. Duprey has extensive experience in leading change and improving outcomes in many IT organizations in the areas of Healthcare, P&C Insurance and State and Local government. Duprey holds an MBA degree from Syracuse University and an undergraduate degree from Cornell University.

 

44. Katie Mangin

48. Rebecca Smith

Rebecca Smith is a Healthcare Management Consultant for Milliman. Milliman is among the world’s largest independent actuarial and consulting firms. Earlier in her career she worked with Caribbean Primate Research Center as a field researcher. Smith graduated from Columbia Business School with an MBA, and from Harvard University with an undergraduate degree in human evolutionary biology.

 

55. Deron Neblett

Neblett first got his start in 1991 at Creneau Media. From there, he went on to Houston Press, before eventually rising to become a sustainability consultant at Clean Power Marketing Group, his most recent position prior to joining CLEAResult. Neblett graduated from Rice University with undergraduate degrees in biology and art history.

 

57. Andy Burton

Burton graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an MS in civil and environmental engineering, and from Duke University with an undergraduate degree in marine biology and biological oceanography.

Wilgosh regularly speaks at international conferences on topics related to operating a leading practice supply chain in the Cloud. He serves on the Dartmouth Hockey Alumni Advisory Board, the Olin Advisory Board and the Oracle Cloud Planning & Manufacturing Field Advisory Board. Wilgosh graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with an MBA, and from Dartmouth College with an undergraduate degree in environmental studies.

 

70. Patrick Levendusky

72. Prateek Panigrahi

Prateek Panigrahi is a Senior Management Consultant of the Command Center for GE Healthcare. He first joined the company in 2012 as a product surveillance engineer. Panigrahi earned a master’s degree in biomedical engineering and an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering and psychology from Northwestern University.

Nazem first got her start in 2004 as a research assistant at American Institutes for Research. From there, she went on to Women's Research and Action Group, before eventually rising to associate director of programs and advocacy at The Chicago Bar Foundation, her most recent position prior to joining NCSC. Nazem graduated from the University of Chicago Law School with a JD and from Yale University with an undergraduate degree in women's and gender studies.

 

96. Sameer Shroff

Mintz has 16 years of experience. She began her career in 2006.

Before joining Blue Beyond Consulting, Mintz was a director of alumni relations at USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, and before that, a director of young adult engagement at The Jewish Federation. Earlier in her career she worked with FC Dallas as a foundation program coordinator. Mintz graduated from the University of Southern California with a master's degree in communication management and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an undergraduate degree in journalism and mass communications.
