As a result of the pandemic, marketing executives across all industries have had to adjust their strategies and employ tactics to maintain brand awareness in today’s ever-changing environment. These awardees employ years of experience and creativity to ensure their companies remain at the forefront of their respective markets.

Awardee Lisa Gevelber, the Chief Marketing Officer for Google, has been a part of the company for nearly 12 years and founded Grow with Google where she has helped more than 6 million Americans develop their businesses, careers and skills all online. Microsoft’s Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Chris Capossela, plays a big impact on driving revenue, growth and share across the company’s consumer business by leading with his decades of experience. Meanwhile, awardee Suzy DePrizio, the Chief Marketing Officer of Centene, plays a crucial role in the company’s market strategy, advertising and brand position so the company can continue to reach individuals across the nation and provide high quality and cost effective healthcare to them.

There is no indication of a decline for a growing need for talented marketing executives. In fact, research indicates that marketing challenges will continue as audience attention becomes more fragmented across all types of media channels. 2. Dustin Sedgwick
Chief Marketing Officer - Payments, J.P. Morgan
Princeton University

Dustin Sedgwick is the Chief Marketing Officer of J.P. Morgan Payments, which is the $11B revenue payments and technology business at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and the recognized global leader in payments and treasury spanning everything from blockchain, to fintech, to treasury services, to payment processing, to commercial card, and global trade. He joined the company in 2021.

Before joining J.P. Morgan, Sedgwick held various marketing leadership positions in the technology industry, including most recently at Microsoft leading global teams for Surface and Xbox. Earlier in his career he worked in marketing and strategy at Google. Sedgwick graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA and summa cum laude from Princeton University with an undergraduate degree in economics.

 

7. Zena Arnold
Chief Digital and Marketing Officer, Kimberly-Clark
The Ohio State University

Zena Arnold is a Chief Digital and Marketing Officer of Kimberly-Clark. As a cutting-edge marketing leader, Arnold drives initiatives to accelerate the digital transformation of Kimberly-Clark’s brands and businesses. In her role, she leads Kimberly-Clark's global teams for consumer relationships and engagement, media and content, analytics and insights, agency operations and marketing capabilities. Her organization advances relationship building, data and insight-driven marketing to spur growth for the company’s essential and trusted brands that include Huggies, Kotex and Kleenex.

Arnold previously worked at Google, where she held business and operations leadership roles, running the U.S. Chromebooks organization. Prior to that time, she led global marketing for Chromebooks, where she oversaw product marketing, brand marketing, partnerships, go-to-market and international expansion. When she first joined Google, she ran marketing for Google Play in the Americas. Earlier in her career, Arnold worked at Procter & Gamble and Kellogg's, where she held a series of brand and portfolio management roles for brands that included Olay, Folgers, Pop-Tarts and more. Arnold holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from The Ohio State University.

 

8. Suzy DePrizio
Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Centene
Harvard University

Suzy DePrizio began her professional career over 23 years ago. Today, she is the Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Centene. Centene Corporation is a multinational company that provides high-quality healthcare services to members in all 50 states and around the world. Centene is the largest Medicaid managed care organization in the country and provides a portfolio of services to government sponsored healthcare programs.

DePrizio first got her start in 1999 as an officer in the US Navy. From there, she went on to the US Pacific Command, before eventually rising to head of digital and ecommerce transformation at Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health, her most recent position prior to joining Centene. DePrizio graduated from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business with an MBA and from Harvard University with an undergraduate degree in political science and government.

 

9. Marija Zivanovic-Smith
Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, NCR Corporation
Georgetown University

Marija Zivanovic-Smith is the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of NCR Corporation. She first joined the company in 2008 and has progressed through executive leadership roles in marketing, communications, public and government affairs, and also served as Chief of Staff to the CEO. NCR Corporation is a leading software- and services-led enterprise provider in the financial, retail and hospitality industries. NCR is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with 36,000 employees globally. Zivanovic-Smith has over two decades of experience.

Zivanovic-Smith got her start with IBM where she briefly served as a manager before moving onto executive roles with the company. She recently served as the U.S. Business Representative to the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Advisory Council. Over her career, she has served as a board member for several organizations including Kashat, City of Atlanta’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative, Information Technology Industry Council and the Trans-Atlatic Business Council. She currently leads the NCR COVID-19 Response Task Force. Zivanovic-Smith earned an undergraduate degree in international politics and foreign policy processes from Georgetown University.

 

12. Sherri Landry
Chief Marketing Officer, CEC Entertainment
Duke University

Sherri Landry is the Chief Marketing Officer of CEC Entertainment. She first joined the company in 2018. For over 40 years, CEC Entertainment has proudly served as the nationally recognized leader in family dining/entertainment. As the award-winning, number-one, kid-friendly restaurant for millions of families across the world, the company and its franchisees operate a system of 605 Chuck E. Cheese's stores located in 47 states and 14 foreign countries/territories, and a system of 149 Peter Piper Pizza franchise and company-owned locations.

In 1996 Landry served as an assistant brand manager for Pringles with Proctor and Gamble before moving on to Sara Lee Branded Apparel and later Hagger Clothing Co. She has served in executive roles with well-known companies such as Pizza Hut, T.G.I.Friday’s, Main Event and Which Wich prior to her current role with CEC Entertainment. Landry graduated from Duke University with an undergraduate degree in public policy studies and with an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Rochester.

 

13. Chitra Ebenezer
Chief Marketing Officer, Velcro Companies
University of Virginia

Chitra Ebenezer is the Chief Marketing Officer of Velcro Companies. Velcro is a British privately held company, founded by Swiss electrical engineer George de Mestral in the 1950s. It is the original manufacturer of hook-and-loop fasteners, which de Mestral invented. Velcro Companies together comprise a technology-driven, global organization providing fastening solutions that solve problems in simple, elegant, and surprising ways for businesses and consumers around the world. Ebenezer has 18 years of experience. She began her career in 2004.

Before joining Velcro Companies, Ebenezer was a senior director of USA marketing at Rana Meal Solutions and before that a global communication director at Tate & Lyle. Earlier in her career she worked with Kraft Foods as a senior brand manager of natural cheese. Ebenezer graduated from the University of Virginia - Darden School of Business with an MBA and from Duke University with an undergraduate degree.

 

16. Cameron van Orman
Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer, Planview
Dartmouth College

Cameron van Orman began his professional career 26 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of Planview. Planview is a global enterprise software company headquartered in Austin, Texas. For over 30 years, Planview provides the most comprehensive portfolio and work management solutions in the industry. The company is also a leader in Gartner Magic Quadrants for PPM for 15 consecutive years.

van Orman first got his start in 1996 as a business analyst at SCA Consulting. From there, he went on to Stern Stewart & Co., before eventually rising to SVP of product & solution marketing at CA Technologies, his most recent position prior to joining Planview. van Orman graduated from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management with an MBA and from Dartmouth College with an undergraduate degree in economics and math.

18. Heather MacLeod

Heather MacLeod is the Chief Marketing Officer and Managing Director of Sprott. She first joined the company in 2017. Sprott is a global asset manager providing investors with access to highly-differentiated precious metals investment strategies. Its best-in-class investment products include innovative physical bullion trusts, mining ETFs, and private equity and debt strategies. The company also partners with natural resource companies to meet their capital needs through their merchant banking and resource lending activities.

Previously, MacLeod was a director of communications at VanEck and before that a director of marketing communications at Hayden Wealth Management. Earlier in her career she worked with J&W Seligman / RiverSource Investments as an SVP and director of corporate communications. MacLeod earned an undergraduate degree in history from Dartmouth College.

 

22. Rosanne Saccone
Chief Marketing Officer, Planet
Stanford University

Rosanne Saccone is the Chief Marketing Officer at Planet. She first joined the company in 2020. Planet is a market leading integrated aerospace and data analytics company that operates history’s largest fleet of Earth-imaging satellites, collecting a massive amount of information about the changing planet. Prior to joining Planet, Saccone was the CMO at BlueJeans and before that the CMO at Pentaho from Hitachi Vantara. She has served in several executive roles at companies like Hewlett-Packard, PivotLink, Stealth Mode, BEA Systems and Olliance. Saccone is a seasoned marketing executive with over twenty-five years of results-driven marketing, management and finance experience in the high tech industry. Saccone graduated from the University of Virginia with an MBA and from Stanford University with an undergraduate degree in economics.

 

25. Lawrence Schwartz

Schwartz has also been the CMO for Attunity, a leading provider of information availability software solutions for the enterprise. He has also held senior marketing and product management positions at EMC, E Ink Corporation and Tokutek.Schwartz holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in aeronautics and astronautics, also from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

 

29. Doug Mow

Doug Mow is the Chief Marketing Officer of Net at Work. Net at Work is a full-service technology and business consultancy. The company offers ERP and accounting, strategic advisory and digital marketing services, infrastructure and cloud solutions, web services, enterprise content management, and more. It aims to help customers improve operational efficiencies, maximize return on IT investments, and continuously navigate the complexities of IT solutions. Mow has over 24 years in the IT & services industry. He began his career in 1997.

Before joining Net at Work, Mow was an independent consultant at Global C Level Executive and Consultant and before that a CMO at QuEST Global. Earlier in his career he worked with Qwest Digital Media as a VP of product marketing and strategy. Mow graduated from Cornell University with an undergraduate degree in economics.

 

32. Marisol Tamaro
Chief Marketing Officer, Vibrant Health
Columbia University

Marisol Tamaro is the Chief Marketing Officer of Vibrant Health. She first joined the organization in 2020 as a consultant for marketing communications. Vibrant Health is an integrative lifestyle, wellness, and longevity clinic. They are pioneers in the future of healthcare, raising the bar in the treatment of anti-aging, brain health, pain, neuropathy and much more. Their teams redefine aging and reimagining wellness.

Tamaro first got her start in 1992 as an analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before moving on to Revlon where she served as an associate marketing manager. She has held various executive leadership positions with companies like PepsiCo, UNIQLO, and J.CREW prior to joining Vibrant Health. Tamaro graduated from New York University with an undergraduate degree in finance and business management, from Columbia University with an MBA and with a certificate in digital marketing strategy from Northwestern University.

 

36. Josh Zable
Chief Marketing and Strategic Planning Officer, Minitab
University of Michigan

Josh Zable began his professional career over 21 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Marketing and Strategic Planning Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Minitab. Minitab helps companies and institutions spot trends, solve problems and discover valuable insights in data by delivering a comprehensive and best-in-class suite of data analysis and process improvement tools. For close to 50 years, Minitab has helped organizations drive cost containment, enhance quality, boost customer satisfaction and increase effectiveness.

Zable first got his start in 2000 in funds information management at Black Rock. From there, he went on to Natexis Bleichroeder, before eventually rising to VP at Dentsply Sirona, his most recent position prior to joining Minitab. Zable graduated from the University of Michigan with an MS in applied economics and an undergraduate degree in economics and creative writing.

 

39. Scott Chao
Chief Marketing Officer, Appspace
Duke University

Scott Chao began his professional career over 17 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Marketing Officer of Appspace. Appspace's platform helps organizations build an exceptional workplace experience with simple communication and space management tools. With offices in the US, UK, UAE, and Malaysia, plus additional experts in a dozen other countries, they provide global support to thousands of customers and help companies modernize their workplace experience.

Chao first got his start in 2004 as a manager at Deloitte. From there, he went on to Cvent, before eventually rising to VP of marketing at DealerSocket, his most recent position prior to joining Appspace. Chao graduated from The University of Texas at Austin - Red McCombs School of Business with an MBA and from Duke University with an undergraduate degree in economics and electrical engineering.

 

40. Julie Roehm
Chief Marketing and Experience Officer, Party City
University of Chicago

Julie Roehm is the Chief Marketing and Experience Officer for Party City. She first joined the company in 2019 as the chief experience officer. Party City is a global leader in the celebrations industry. A vertically integrated designer, manufacturer, distributor, and retailer, Party City offers consumer party goods in more than 100 countries around the world.

Prior to joining Party City, Roehm was the chief marketing officer for ABRA Auto Body & Glass. Prior to that, she was the chief storyteller for SAP. In addition to her current roles, Roehm is a contributor for Fox Business Network and serves on several boards. She graduated from the University of Chicago with an MBA and from Purdue University with an undergraduate degree in civil engineering.

41. Vicky Wilkens

Wilkens first got her start in 2004 as a marketing coordinator for Turner Broadcasting System before moving on to become a marketing manager with Time Inc. She spent several years as a brand manager with ACTIVE Network and Mizuno USA. Her most recent position prior to joining ON Partners was as the VP of global consumer and brand marketing with The Weather Channel. Wilkens earned an undergraduate degree in English and communication studies from the University of Michigan.

 

44. Bryan Ferschinger

Bryan Ferschinger is the Chief Marketing Officer of Tock, a reservation, table, and event management system used by restaurants, wineries, galleries and bars around the world. As the CMO at Tock, Ferschinger brings extensive marketing and innovation experience and a passion for modern brand building from decades in key leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies. He is responsible for all aspects of B2C and B2B marketing strategies and tactics, including digital and social media, brand communications, content development, public relations and developing strategic partnerships. Ferschinger is recognized as a contemporary marketer and strategic thought leader with a proven 20+ year record of profitably growing businesses.

Prior to joining Tock, Ferschinger worked with MillerCoors where he held several leadership roles including VP of marketing, chairman, and senior director of marketing. Before that, Ferschinger spent over 11 years with Wrigley in various positions within their marketing department. Ferschinger earned an undergraduate degree in consumer behavior and personal finance from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

 

48. Joe Sinha
Chief Marketing Officer, Parnassus Investments

Joe Sinha is the Chief Marketing Officer of Parnassus Investments. He first joined the company in 2015. Parnassus Investments is the largest ESG pure-play mutual fund company in America, a source for genuine ESG strategies since 1984. They have a brand that resonates with people who want to responsibly invest with their values and have competitive returns.

Prior to joining Parnassus Investments, Sinha served as a senior vice president and held key leadership roles in sales, marketing strategy, product development, and mergers/acquisitions at Wells Fargo Funds Management. Prior to Wells Fargo, he held leadership roles in data management and product development at Morningstar. Sinha has over 20 years of experience in the mutual fund industry and holds the Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 securities licenses. He earned an undergraduate degree in English from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

 

49. Al Girardi

Al Girardi is the Global VP of Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer of GEP Worldwide. He first joined the company in 2012. GEP delivers transformative supply chain solutions that help global enterprises become more agile and resilient, operate more efficiently and effectively, gain competitive advantage, boost profitability and increase shareholder value.

Previously, Girardi was a VP of marketing and the chief marketing officer at Innodata and before that a VP of marketing at Antenna Software. Earlier in his career he worked with GCI Group as a VP of business and financial services marketing. Girardi earned an MS in media management from Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree in history from Vassar College.

 

50. Lydia Flocchini

Lydia Flocchini began her professional career 30 years ago. Today, she is the Chief Marketing Officer of SurePoint Technologies, the leading provider of CRM, financial and practice management software to law firms nationwide. Flocchini has extensive Go-to-Market experience building and scaling legal tech start-ups, company acquisitions and integrations, and launching new product categories including Legal Analytics and the next generation of legal research. She has held leadership roles in customer success, marketing and sales at Thomson Reuters, Lex Machina, and Logikcull. Flocchini double majored in History and Classical Civilization from the University of California, Los Angeles and has a J.D. from the University of San Francisco, School of Law.

 

52. Valerie Kaplan
Chief Marketing Officer, Headspace

Valerie Kaplan began her professional career nearly 15 years ago. Today, she is the Chief Marketing Officer of Headspace. Headspace was created with one mission in mind, to improve the health and happiness of the world. Reaching more than 65 million users in 190 countries, Headspace was one of the first meditation apps in the world and remains a leader in mindfulness and mental training. Headspace has been recognized by Fast Company as one of the World's Most Innovative Companies.

Kaplan first got her start in 2007 as a pricing consultant at Simon-Kucher & Partners. From there, she went on to HBO, before eventually rising to VP of growth marketing at Hulu, her most recent position prior to joining Headspace. Kaplan graduated from the Harvard Business School with an MBA and from Duke University with an undergraduate degree in economics and literature.

 

54. Katherine Rainbolt
Chief Marketing Officer, Tattered Cover Book Store
Washington University in St Louis

Katherine Rainbolt is the Chief Marketing Officer of Tattered Book Cover Store. She first joined the company in 2021. Established in 1971, Tattered Cover Book Store is one of America's premier independent bookstores, a Denver institution and a community gathering place. Tattered Cover is a locally-owned business with an unwavering commitment to the customer and the community, with four unique stores in metro Denver, and three satellite stores at Denver International Airport. Tattered Cover hosts more than 600 authors, illustrators, public figures, community events, book festivals and schools each year.

Rainbolt first got her start with Denver Museum of Nature & Science where she served as an assistant coordinator for the museum programs. She later moved on to become a program manager with Colorado Ski Country USA, her most recent position before joining Tattered Cover. Rainbolt earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, a master’s in education from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA from the University of Denver.

55. Courtney Ettus

Courtney Ettus is the Chief Marketing Officer of Crexi. Crexi is a marketplace and technology platform that consolidates commercial real estate solutions into a unified ecosystem, designed to streamline the CRE process from listing to closing. Today, Crexi empowers nearly 2 million buyers, brokers, and tenants each month to explore over $2 trillion of property value nationwide and has helped to close upward of $330 billion in transactions. Ettus has over 24 years in the internet industry. She began her career in 1997.

Before joining CREXi, Ettus was a chief marketing officer at Greenfly Inc., and before that the president of Smashd Distillery. Earlier in her career she worked with Kenneth Cole Productions as the VP of global marketing. Ettus graduated from the University of Michigan with an undergraduate degree in psychology.

 

57. BJ Webb
Chief Marketing Officer, HITRUST
University of Illinois

BJ Webb is the Chief Marketing Officer of HITRUST. HITRUST was founded in 2007 to champion programs that safeguard sensitive information and manage information risk for global organizations across all industries and throughout the third-party supply chain. Today HITRUST is seen as the leader in information risk management and assurance reporting.

Webb has 30 years of experience in marketing, operations, and business transformation roles. She began her career at AT&T where she spent 28 years in leadership roles including 6 years in product marketing and marketing at AT&T Cybersecurity before joining HITRUST. Webb’s professional experience includes a unique blend of marketing and operations, and a passion for continuous learning. Webb graduated from the University of Illinois - Gies College of Business with an MBA in 2020, and from the University of Illinois with an undergraduate degree in business administration - organizational behavior.

 

58. Brent Hieggelke

Brent Hieggelke began his professional career over 36 years ago. Today, he is the Chief Marketing Officer of CrowdStreet. CrowdStreet is the leading online real estate investing platform. To date, they’ve launched more than 500 deals, including both individual assets and funds. Some of the world’s largest sponsors, including Greystar and Harbor Group International have used CrowdStreet to raise capital. Since 2014, its investor community has committed more than $2.1 billion in investments and earned nearly $240 million in distributions.

Hieggelke first got his start in 1986 as a co-founder and associate publisher of NewCity Communications. From there, he went on to Morgan Stanley, before eventually rising to chief marketing officer at Brandlive, his most recent position prior to joining CrowdStreet. Hieggelke graduated from the University of Chicago with an undergraduate degree in economics.

 

60. Brian Leamy
Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, CSS Fundraising
University of Pennsylvania

Brian Leamy is the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer of CCS Fundraising. He first joined the company in 2019. For over 70 years, CCS has empowered many of the world’s greatest organizations to advance some of the most important causes in history. As leading consulting experts in campaign and development strategy, they plan and implement fundraising initiatives to help nonprofit organizations make a bigger impact locally, nationally, and globally. Their unique, customized approach provides each organization with an embedded professional to provide real-time solutions.

Leamy first got his start in 1995 as a senior strategy consultant with Deloitte Consulting before moving on to United Way of America where he served as the VP of enterprise strategy. He has previously served in executive leadership roles with companies such as Arabella Advisors and Sensor Products Inc. Leamy graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with an undergraduate degree in information systems and a master’s in strategic planning and from the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School with an MBA.

 

61. Ryan George
Chief Marketing Officer, Docupace
The University of Texas at Austin

Ryan George is the Chief Marketing Officer of Docupace. He first joined the company in 2020. Docupace is a leading digital operations technology provider that simplifies how wealth management firms process and digitize data, increasing efficiency, productivity, and profits. With the secure, cloud-based Docupace Platform, the Docupace team provides a suite of digital solutions that helps broker-dealers, RIAs, and their advisors streamline and automate client onboarding, document management, advisor transitions, Regulation BI, cybersecurity, and other critical workflows while maintaining SEC and FINRA compliance.

Previously, George was a director for investment marketing at GuideStone Financial Resources and before that an assistant VP of marketing and communications at 1st Global. Earlier in his career he worked with US Global Investors as an investor representative. George earned an undergraduate degree in public relations from The University of Texas at Austin.

 

63. Jennifer Huang
